Video Scholarship Contest FAQ
My hometown is located in Santa Clara County, but I attend college in a different area. Am I still eligible to participate in this contest?
Yes! It doesn't matter where you attend school as long as you are a permanent resident of Santa Clara County. If you are selected to be a winner, we will ask you for your home address to verify your residency.
My cumulative GPA is lower than a 3.0, but my major GPA makes me eligible to enter this scholarship contest. Can I still participate?
Unfortunately, at this time, we are only accepting applicants with a cumulative, overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Can I collaborate with others to make this video?
Yes, you can work with others on your video. However, there will only be one prize totaling $1,000 that will be awarded to the winning video. Please list the names of all the collaborators in your video.
How will I know if I’ve won?
You will be notified of the results via email in early September.
Can I send a screenshot of my Schoolloop/Canvas dashboard to verify my grades?
No, we are only accepting official and unofficial transcripts.
Are there any specific guidelines on what my video should be like?
Nope! As long as your video is under three minutes long, is appropriate, and answers the prompt that you choose, you are completely in charge of the content. We want to see your creativity and most importantly, we want you to have fun!
